Rajghat
Rajghat is the final resting place of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation. The
cremation of Mahatma Gandhi was held at Raj Ghat Delhi only, January 31, 1950.
The memorial of Mahatma Gandhi placed there is a simple square platform of black
stone with the words "Hey Ram" inscribed near it. As a tribute to the Mahatma,
an eternal flame in a copper urn, it continues to burn. Around the monument is a
low wall, simple, no frills. Every Friday, a memorial ceremony held at the Delhi
Raj Ghat National Memorial.
Together, the date of birth (October 2), as well as the anniversary of the death
(January 30) and Mahatma Gandhi, the prayers are held here. January 30, the day
Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated in mind Martyrs day. Mahatma Gandhi Samadhi, New
Delhi is located in the middle of garden fountains and a number of striking the
trees. Located next to Raj Ghat, two museums dedicated to Gandhi, the number of
