Red Fort
The Red Fort in Delhi is a massive monument built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.
It took about 10 years to complete the Red Fort in Delhi, which started this
year the 1638th Located on the banks of the Yamuna River, the fort was built at
the height of the Mughal rule. The Red Fort was the fortress city of Shah
Jahan's new capital of Delhi, Shahjahanabad.
Today, the Fort Rouge serves as the venue for Prime Minister's speech
given to the Independence Day of the country. Red Fort in Delhi is surrounded by
a moat, now dry, and walls that extend about two miles. The fort consists of a
series of structures such as Diwan-i-am (Hall of Public Audience), Diwan-i-Khas
(Hall of Private Audience), palaces, private apartments, Moti Masjid (mosque)
